Revenue from the sale of materials-handling equipment decreased by almost 4 percent, or, in terms of dollars, $500 million, during 2005, when compared to the previous year. Among the top twenty companies, only eight reported an increase in sales, one said revenues were identical to the previous year’s, while the rest reported losses. FMC Technologies Will Supply Material Handling System, to Amercian Electric Power, For its Mountaineer FGD Retrofit Project in New Haven
The Material Handling Systems business of FMC Technologies has signed a contract with the American Electric Power Services Corporation, for designing, supplying and installing a limestone and gypsum handling system for the Mountaineer FGD Retrofit Project, in West Virginia. With the help of this system, American Electric Power will be able to offload, convey, reclaim and stockpile both gypsum and limestone. Home.businesswire.com reports:
Additionally, the system will include silo-loading equipment for limestone and an overland conveyor system to convey gypsum to the landfill stockpile. Deliveries are scheduled for the second and third quarters of 2006 followed by completion and start up by the end of 2006.

New Hazardous Material Faclility Being Planned on Campus, by North Dakota State University
