DCCI hosts Freight Logistics Conference
Dubai Chamber of Commerce and Industry (DCCI) is hosting the first conference in freight logistics, which is aimed at bringing quality, security and innovation to the fore. Due to its strategic location, Dubai enjoys the status of a trade center and has been a hub of economic activities in the gulf region. Industry analysts in the gulf region believe that the freight logistics must play a key role to deliver world-class services for the business community in Dubai. New challenges from Economic Globalization have forced organizations to adopt more transparency and develop their services.
Another important aspect of the freight logistics is the online services. The online services are based on the concept of e-commerce, which has become the backbone of today’s businesses. It has been stressed that the National Association of Freight Logistics (NAFL) and International Federation of Freight Forwarders’ Associations (FIATA) must work in tandem to adopt best practices in order to develop the freight logistics system. There is no doubt that product and service knowledge plays an important role in making any trade a success.
