Earnings in the Logistics Industry
A survey of salaries in the logistics industry conducted by Logistics Management has shown a decline of 4.5 percent from last year’s average, a drop from $83,790 to $80,000. Those with the fancy titles continued to pull in the top dollar, with vice presidents and general managers earning an average of $140,000, followed by corporate and division managers who made $110,000, with logistics managers coming in third at $80,000 annually.
Education matters in the logistics world, if you go by the salaries earned by the professionals in the field. Those with a high school diploma earned only $55,000 last year, while those with college credits earned $68,000 on an average. Bachelor’s degree holders took home $85,000 on an average, with MBAs taking the cake and the icing with $105,000.
As in other fields, experience counts here too. Respondents with an experience of 1 to 10 years earned only $66,575 on an average, those working for nearly 15 years took home $84,000, those with around 20 years’ experience were paid an average of $85,000, and those with 30 years of experience earned $95,000.
