Electronics Manufacturer Replaces Stationary Tables With Ergonomic Workstations
Cirtronics Corporation at Midford, is a full-fledged contract electronic manufacturer. It offers prototype through end-product builds of electronic assemblies. It made a decision earlier on, to move from batch manufacturing, to lean manufacturing. The goal was to achieve quicker turnarounds, lower inventory exposure, more responsive delivery and higher quality. Followed with growth and expansion, was felt the need to replace old stationary tables, with work stations. After a hands-on trial, the firm decided to buy 35 Lista Align adjustable Height Workstations. Cirtronics bought these from Lista International, for use in every department including assembly, inspection, machining etc. Flexibility and aesthetics, together prompted this decision, to move from stationary benches to workstations. Mhpn.com reports:
The worksurface height of the Align bench can be quickly and easily aligned for different tasks or operator preference. The height of the base ranges from 25- 1/2 inches to 41-1/2 inches (16 inches total range), allowing the ideal ergonomic height for each operator, and thus reducing stress, fatigue and personal injury.
