Material handling in agriculture is concerned with the transportation and handling of materials and products in a systematic manner from the point of origin to the destination. Costs can be lowered with efficient materials handling systems in which the components are integrated to provide a smooth flow of the agricultural processes but it is also necessary to understand the feasibility. It can also help in effective application of mechanical equipments thereby enabling resourceful use of manpower.
